As we prepare for the feast of the Epiphany, we can use this prayer, provided by Education for Justice, a project of the Ignatian Solidarity Network, so that the light of Epiphany may bless us with a vision of a just and peaceful world:
“Like the wise ones who traveled in a dark time to follow hope shining like a star, we long for revelation that brings light to our distress, that illumens a way forward. Like the wise ones who found the way to Bethlehem, to a deeper understanding, we open our longing hearts to that fragile Child and his family, a family soon to leave on their own journey: a story of migration, told over and over. Recognizing today’s migrants as holy families, we are blessed with a vision of possible justice, of potential peace. We become wise and are granted an epiphany when we can see, in the least of these, the Light that we seek. Amen.”
